Since its beginning in 1971, the Governor's Awards for the Arts in Ohio has recognized individuals and organizations who have been vital to the growth and development of Ohio's cultural resources. Ohio possesses a wealth of individuals and institutions that are supportive of the arts, and for that reason the selection process for the Governor's Awards is highly competitive.

2015 Governor's Awards for the Arts and Arts Day Luncheon

The 2015 Governor's Awards for the Arts in Ohio and Arts Day Luncheon will take place at noon on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Columbus Athenaeum in downtown Columbus. The luncheon is hosted by the Ohio Arts Council and Ohio Citizens for the Arts Foundation. Winners will receive an original work of art by Nicole Schneider, a printmaker and mixed-media artist from Cleveland. This annual event demonstrating public value and support for the arts is sponsored by Ohio Citizens for the Arts Foundation.
